ISSUANCE OF NATIONAL IDENTITY CARDS (ID’s) (CLICK HERE)
The Kenya High Commission is now processing issuance of National Identity Cards. The processing of a National Identity Card will take approximately six to eight weeks from the date of application.
All applicants are required to pay a processing fee of thirty Pounds (£30) and each applicant has to appear in person.
Applications for the National ID’s will only be accepted on Monday & Tuesday of the week.

APPLICATION FOR SEARCH OF BIRTH/DEATH CERTIFICATE

 Instructions    Download birth/death certificate
search form
  1. Complete the Search Form
  2. Attach a photocopy of the certificate (birth/death) or the burial/disposal permit (death), if available, for ease of reference
  3. Enclose a Postal Order for £5.00 payable to ‘Kenya High Commission’ (Cheques are not acceptable)
  4. The High Commission will forward the documents to the Department of Civil Registration in Kenya for action
  5. The search and issuance of the certificate takes 12 to 14 weeks
  6. You will be informed about the status of your application at the end of this period

1. Submit an Application Letter
2. Attach a photocopy of the birth certificate/foreign registration certificate
3. Attach photocopies of parents’ passports
4. Enclose a Postal Order for £5.00 payable to ‘Kenya High Commission’ (Cheques are not acceptable)
5. The High Commission will forward the documents to the Department of Civil Registration in Kenya for action

REUIREMENTS FOR TAKING ASHES TO KENYA

  1. Death certificate
  2. Certificate from the Crematorium
  3. Certificate issued by Funeral Directors confirming that
    the contents are nothing but the remains and are not
    mixed with anything else

 

OVERSEAS REPATRIATION OF THE DECEASED

  1. The Cargo departments of the various airlines are
    responsible for the transportation of the deceased
  2. The Funeral Home involved arranges bookings with
    the relevant Cargo office
  3. The death certificate is required
  4. Confirmation that the coffin is hermetically
    sealed for carriage by air is required
