ISSUANCE OF NATIONAL IDENTITY CARDS (ID’s) (CLICK HERE)
The Kenya High Commission is now processing issuance of National Identity Cards. The processing of a National Identity Card will take approximately six to eight weeks from the date of application.
All applicants are required to pay a processing fee of thirty Pounds (£30) and each applicant has to appear in person.
Applications for the National ID’s will only be accepted on Monday & Tuesday of the week.

Complete the biographical details forms in duplicate and attach the following:

  1. A covering letter to CID Headquarters, Nairobi;
  2. Fingerprints and palmprints recorded on a prescribed form recorded at
    your nearest police station bearing an official stamp. Download the
    Elimination Finger and Palmprints Form (C.24) if such forms are not
    available at the police station.
  3. A clear photocopy of the Kenyan 2nd generation identity card (if over 18 years) or a certified copy of the birth certificate (if below 18 years) PLEASE NOTE: DIGITAL SCANNED COPIES NOT ACCEPTED
  4. A certified copy of passport information (if non-Kenyan), with documentary proof of residence in Kenya for a minimum of three (3) months;
  5. A fee of £10 in postal order payable to ‘Kenya High Commission’. Cash payment is acceptable only if paid in person.

          Note that processing of certificates takes Six (6) to Eight (8) weeks
