ISSUANCE OF NATIONAL IDENTITY CARDS (ID’s) (CLICK HERE)
The Kenya High Commission is now processing issuance of National Identity Cards. The processing of a National Identity Card will take approximately six to eight weeks from the date of application.
All applicants are required to pay a processing fee of thirty Pounds (£30) and each applicant has to appear in person.
Applications for the National ID’s will only be accepted on Monday & Tuesday of the week.

  • The Kenya High Commission legalizes documents at a cost of £5 per copy and the process takes at least 48 hours (two working days) between time of submission and collection.
  • An accompanying letter is required if the documents are being sent through the post/courier service.
  • The documents, especially company documents, must also be certified by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
  • Also note that legalization is still required for documents authenticated by an English Notary Public, except for Statutory Declarations for persons wishing to marry in Kenya.
