ISSUANCE OF NATIONAL IDENTITY CARDS (ID’s) (CLICK HERE)

The Kenya High Commission is now processing issuance of National Identity Cards. The processing of a National Identity Card will take approximately six to eight weeks from the date of application.
All applicants are required to pay a processing fee of thirty Pounds (£30) and each applicant has to appear in person.

Applications for the National ID’s will only be accepted on Monday & Tuesday of the week.

The Kenya High Commission legalizes documents at a cost of £5 per copy and the process takes at least 48 hours (two working days) between time of submission and collection.

An accompanying letter is required if the documents are being sent through the post/courier service.

The documents, especially company documents, must also be certified by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

Also note that legalization is still required for documents authenticated by an English Notary Public, except for Statutory Declarations for persons wishing to marry in Kenya.
